Come Hungry
The Milledgeville Amateur Radio Club will be providing barbecue for the Saturday evening meal. Just as important as demonstrating and developing skills, the social aspect of Field Day makes it an event to look forward to from year to year. Dinner will be served around 6 PM.
When and Where
Date and Time: 2 PM through 8 PM, June 24, 2017
Location: West Campus Pavilion, Georgia College
What is it?
Field Day, sponsored by the American Radio Relay League, is the most popular on-the-air event held annually in the United States and Canada. On the fourth weekend of June, more than 36,000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups, and friends to operate from remote locations.
The objective is simple: work as many stations as possible and learn to operate in less than optimal conditions. But beyond the objective, the event has become an annual celebration of the hobby, a forum to demonstrate our abilities to the public, and a chance to spend time with friends old and new.
Join us for this exciting event. Food will be eaten, stories will be told, and most importantly, a good time will be had by all.
